New music find: The Sounds

I first saw a link to this band on Alan Cross’ Explore Music web site which described them as sounding like The Cars and Blondie – intriguing enough for me to bookmark the page and take a look.  This Swedish band was formed in 1999 and have since released three albums, their latest Crossing The Rubicon was released in June of 2009.  They also supported No Doubt on their tour in 2009 and Panic At The Disco in 2006 and Dave Grohl wore a red “Sounds” t-shirt in the Foo Fighters video for “Times Like These“.

The song “No One Sleeps While I’m Awake” was performed on Carson Daly and was also included in one episode of the television show “The Vampire Diaries“.

And here’s a high-energy performance of their song “Seven Days A Week” on Letterman:

Love the energy and the look!
