— Edited January 11th to include peformances at BC Place (thanks to @suze20TO for the link) and to add in links to the artists’ web sites where possible —
Two of my most favourite things and I get to combine them in one post…woot! One of my closest friends will be realising a life-long dream and heading to Vancouver in less than a month to see the Olympics. I’m sure she will be both blogging on My Life Is Like A Song and tweeting (you can follow her @suze20TO) a lot from out there and I am looking forward to reading all about her experiences out there.
As well as a love of the Olympics, @suze20TO and I also share a love of music. We’ve been talking a bit about who will be performing at the Olympics and I’ve been watching various web sites as they start to firm up the list.

I’ve hilighted some of the musicians I’d like to see – I will leave the DJ recommendations to my friend @PJMixer who really has a handle on a wider variety of musical talents than I do (you can read his personal blog here and his music blog – shared with @suze20TO – here).
I’m looking forward to seeing some of these performances so I’m hoping they broadcast them. I’ll do my best to post any updates as I find them – and please, do the same!
Here’s the list of performers for the Vancouver Medal Ceremony at BC Place.

Can we get back to the music convo ladies…
Thanks for the prop and mention, but I actually don’t recognize a lot of DJ/electro names, except the standout in my book – Deadmau5 – definitely Canada’s best electronic act – love ’em, would imagine quite the groove party outdoors !
