Eco decided to put together a playlist for Valentines Day but didn’t want to do something like “romantic songs” or “songs about love” ’cause c’mon, that’s way too cliché! So, he did a search on songs in our iTunes that contain the word “peace” as in peace, love & happiness which seems like a good sentiment today.
Here’s what iTunes came back with:
Peaceful – Simon Bruce
Peace Train – Cat Stevens
Peace – Weezer
Peace Dog – The Cult
Peace On Earth – U2
Okay, there is no way that 5 songs are enough for our playlist so Eco adjusted the search to include songs that contain the word “happy”:
Mary Happy/Little Red – Kate Nash
Happy Birthday Jane – The Enemy
Happy – Travis
Happy – The Rolling Stones
Happy Endings – All American Rejects
Shiny Happy People – REM
Happy Now – No Doubt
Happy Birthday To Me – Cracker
You Could Be Happy – Snow Patrol
So that’s our Valentines Day playlist. What’s yours?
Currently listening to: Mary Happy/Little Red – Kate Nash
I just wish we had Peace Frog by the Doors and Happy Now I Know by Breeding Ground in the library. Going to have to look those up!Eco

According to your peace and happy criteria…my additions would include:I’m in Peace by Justin NozukaInnocent by Our Lady Peace (does that count?)So Happy by James BluntTwo Shots of Happy, One Shot… by Matt Dusk (and also have it by U2 – who wrote it)Happy by Natasha Bedingfield (did you have that one? can’t see the post anymore)Happy Valentine’s Day by Outkast (ok, that’s not mine – never heard it, but it’s on ‘our’ playlist and I thought it was appropriate and cheesy!!)

Love the additions to the list. Our Lady Peace counts although we removed OLP and Happy Mondays simply for the sake of brevity. The list would have been way too long then! And I like appropriate and cheesy!
